Over the course of my career, I’ve been fortunate to meet some amazing individuals who not only are making extensive impact in their own sphere of influence but also on my personally.
One of those amazing people is Jane Sarasohn-Kahn. A globally recognized health economist & healthcare innovation thought leader, Jane’s expert insights have bolstered the industry in countless ways. I remember starting to get familiar with her work through her Health Populi blog back in 2008 as I was rapidly reading everything I could around the future of health/healthcare. This was also when social media was just warming up and being a blogger was as much of an influencer as you could get — those were the days. Jane’s writing not only was clear and concise, it also made you want to stay tuned to the next article…and the next. An invaluable resource, indeed.
Later that year, I was fortunate enough to get selected as a volunteer to the second Health 2.0 conference in California (thanks Indu and Matthew!) where I had the pleasure of running into Jane in the hallway. At that point, I was already a fanboy and she graciously indulged me. Soon after, it became abundantly clear that even though Jane commanded an impressive presence of expertise, her warm personality and ability to make me feel like I’ve known her for years really won me over.
And now, after actually knowing her for years, I am so grateful to celebrate the epic 10 year anniversary of the Health Populi blog! A staple for anyone who wants to understand the economics, innovations and trends impacting the health landscape, Jane’s insightful analysis has powered highly relevant research and reliable company growth.
Happy anniversary to my wonderful friend, colleague & mentor. Looking forward to the next 10 years!
