We’re full steam ahead in the month of May and it’s going to be a busy one on this end. And Happy Mother’s Day to those of you changing our world through motherhood!
In a couple days we’re putting on the second Health Further Quarterly event in Nashville, TN focused on the issue of interoperability for innovation in healthcare. I’m really excited about the amazing speakers we brought together to discuss this important topic and all the great insights that will be shared.
Next I’ll be giving the Spring Commencement address to my alma mater – the University of Maryland’s School of Public Health! Not only is this is a huge honor for me but I’m thrilled to share my thoughts on what I’ve learned about life/work over the past 15 years.
Each of these events has some sort of purpose or a goal in mind for why they are happening. Whether it’s to inspire or educate, asking “why” is an important place to begin when pursuing an idea. One of my favorite TED Talks is by Simon Sinek on how leaders can inspire action. An oldie but a goodie. I would seriously encourage you to take a look (frequently actually) to get you even more prepared to make a difference in the work you’re doing to impact the public’s health.
